Mission Statement

This committee is a source for owners and contractors to share experience and expertise to continuously improve environmental performance, comply with regulatory requirements, promote sustainability practices, and protect our communities and natural resources.

Objectives

  1. Coordinate and support activities and programs to improve member/contractor and owner organizations' employee engagement around environmental and sustainable practices at their workplace.
  2. Actively participate in alliances with EPA, TCEQ, and other governmental regulatory agencies to promote sustained environmental performance to protect human health and the environment.
  3. Provide a forum for owners and contractors to share methods and best practices that promote sustainable practices and ensure excellence in environmental performance throughout our worksites and companies.
  4. To provide a discussion/learning forum to share "Lessons Learned" and best practices to foster continual improvement in environmental performance.
  5. Sponsor and facilitate IBR Environmental Excellence Award Program to recognize exemplary environmental performance.

Meetings

When: The Environmental Resource Committee meets at 9:00 a.m. on the third Tuesday in the HASC Auditorium (except July) and December there will be a “Combined” committee/subcommittee meeting
